We begin our manufacturing process by machining raw materials (primarily brass and steel) into lock parts and components.  To cut costs many lock manufacturers rely heavily on castings and other inferior manufacturing methods.  At Van Lock you can have confidence that all integral security components will be machined from solid materials to the strictest of tolerances. 

All of our products utilize our unique flat face design.

A Van Lock lock is immediately recognizable by its flat faced design.  This design means that our locks have no natural keyway.  This is a good thing as there is no natural space to insert foreign objects into the lock.  For you this means vandals will have a difficult time sticking gum, glue, and toothpicks into your locks.  For professional thieves this means they are not provided with a ready-made entry point for drills and dent-pullers.  For added security all of our products can be upgraded to our STEEL SERIES which combines these benefits with that of a hardened steel lock, meaning the entire face of the lock (and latch where applicable) is made of drill defying hardened steel.

All locks and keys purchased from us come with registered and protected combinations and codes.   We can also assist you in setting up secure ordering methods to prevent unauthorized keys from falling into the wrong hands.  Finally, with our unique key design there are no key blanks or key cutting machines.  This means that in order to obtain an authorized key, one would have to go through the appropriate secure method rather than simply walking into a hardware store or locksmith shop.
